A Successful Season for Spring Sports

Abbe Cravinho, Staff Writer

The Terriers completed yet another strong spring sports season this year. Congratulations to all teams on their stellar performance and the tremendous amount of effort and time given from each and every player and coach!

Baseball and softball found themselves on the road for the first round of playoffs, traveling far up North to compete. In the end, the outcome was not as hoped. Both baseball and softball teams finished with great seasons and will definitely come back strong next year with the upcoming group of freshmen.

Both tennis teams faced very tough competitors in their final matches, as the boys competed in division one and the girls were challenged by BBA. As Coach Chelsey mentioned at our purple pride night, “Bellows Falls is known for having really strong teams and really weak teams. But those really weak teams start from the bottom and work their way up, and eventually, those are the teams that become the great ones.” Rising from the bottom to the top is his ultimate goal for both boys and girls tennis.

Coach Eno, Coach Clark, and Coach Bennett found themselves another trophy to add to their shelfs, leading their athletes to yet another state championship in the Division III track and field. Breaking records, setting goals, and supporting teammates became strong goals for the BFUHS track team as they finished out their season. All three coaches could not have been more impressed with their athletes performances on June 2nd. “No matter what we always perform.” This was the sixth State championship in a row for the boys team and the third in a row for the girls.

On another note, congratulations to all athletes part of the MVL all star team and honorable mention. Congratulations to the track athletes that competed at the New England Track and Field day at UNH and good luck to decathletes and steeplechasers on June 18-19.
